SAG mill liners take the same impact energy as the balls but over a much larger area, so the alloy has to balance work-hardening toughness with abrasion resistance. Grindium casts shell liners, feed end liners, discharge end liners and lifter bars in Mn13Cr2, Mn18Cr2, Cr-Mo and high chrome Cr26, from 30 kg to 6 t per piece.
Liners are pattern-made from your mill drawing or from a worn liner sample. We check the bolt hole pattern, the lifter profile and the gap between plates before casting, so the set fits the first time without on-site grinding.
