FAQ

Description

The mantle is the moving wear part inside a cone crusher. It works against the bowl liner, and the pair has to be replaced together or the chamber profile goes out of shape and the product gradation drifts.

Grindium casts mantles in Mn13Cr2 and Mn18Cr2 for standard and fine chambers, plus high chrome Cr26 for abrasive, low-impact applications. Each casting is poured against a pattern matched to the crusher model, so the chamber geometry and the feed opening stay within the OEM tolerance.

FAQs

What is the difference between a mantle and a bowl liner?

The mantle is the moving cone inside the chamber; the bowl liner is the fixed ring outside it. They wear as a pair.

What materials and weights?

Mn13Cr2, Mn18Cr2 or high chrome Cr26, from 200 kg to 2,200 kg per piece depending on crusher size.

Which models do you cover?

Symons 3-7 ft, Sandvik CH420-CH890 / CS420-CS660, Metso HP200-HP500 and GP200S-GP550S, plus custom patterns.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

One piece is enough to start. Lead time 30-45 days, and a pattern is kept for repeat orders at no re-tooling cost.

How do you check the chamber profile?

Each casting is checked against the drawing on the crushing chamber profile, hardness is mapped at three heights, and thick sections above 80 mm are ultrasonic tested.
