Application: mining, cement production, power plants, chemistry industries
High hardness
Good wear resistance
High impact toughness
Rear earth grinding ball available (HRC up to 60-65)
Increased Surface Contact: Their cylindrical shape provides more linear contact with material, improving grinding efficiency.
Enhanced Durability: The hot rolling and heat treatment process results in high hardness (HRC 60–65) and impact toughness, reducing wear rates.
Lower Consumption: Longer operational lifespan translates to cost savings in mining and cement industries.

Manufacturing Process
Heating: Steel billets are heated to 1,100–1,200°C to reach a malleable state. Hot Rolling: The heated steel is passed through rollers to form cylindrical shapes with rounded edges, ensuring uniformity. Heat Treatment: After rolling, Cylpebs undergo quenching (rapid cooling) and tempering to optimize hardness (for wear resistance) and toughness (to withstand impact).
Applications:
Mining: Grinding ores (e.g., copper, gold, iron) in ball mills. Cement Production: Crushing clinker and raw materials. Coal Processing: Pulverizing coal in thermal power plants. Chemical Industry: Fine grinding of minerals and pigments.
Packing & Shipping
shipping of grinding ball
Company certificate
Selection notes
Hot-rolled cylpebs are formed from heated steel bar and then heat treated, which gives a tougher body than a cast cylpeb at a lower cost than high chrome.
Sizes are supplied to the tolerance stated in the specification table above
Hardness and impact values are recorded per heat and reported on the mill certificate
Mixed sizes can be loaded in one container to suit a chamber change
Packing options: 1 t bulk bag, 850 kg steel drum or 2 t pallet
Ordering
Send the mill type, chamber, ball or rod size and the tonnage you need per year. We will quote FOB Qingdao or CIF, with a lead time confirmed against the current production schedule. Request a quotation.
What is the difference between hot-rolled and cast cylpebs?
Hot-rolled cylpebs are formed from heated steel bar and heat treated, which gives a tougher body than a casting. Cast chrome cylpebs are harder and more wear resistant but less tolerant of impact.
What sizes and hardness?
20x30 mm to 60x70 mm, hardness HRC 45-62 depending on grade (45#, 60Mn, 65Mn, B2).
Which mills use hot-rolled cylpebs?
Cement and raw meal mills, and mineral fine grinding where the budget is tight but breakage must stay low.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 20 tonnes per size for a first order; a 5 tonne trial lot is available if you need to test the media in your mill. Lead time is 20-30 days for 20-100 tonnes and 30-40 days above that, ex-works Shandong or FOB Qingdao.
Can you supply a mixed size container?
Yes, up to four sizes per container, each in its own marked bag or drum.
