Description
ZQCr2 is a type of low-chrome alloy casting steel used for cylpebs, which are grinding media commonly used in ball mills and cement mills for crushing and grinding materials.

Material Composition: Low chromium (Cr) alloy steel
Hardness: Generally ranges between HRC 45-55, depending on heat treatment
Wear Resistance: Higher than conventional steel but lower than high-chrome alloy media
Impact Toughness: Better than high-chrome cast media, reducing breakage in the mill
Application: Used in cement plants, mining, power plants, and other grinding applications

Selection notes
ZQCr2 cylpebs are the budget option for dry fine grinding. They wear faster than high chrome, but the lower cost per tonne makes them the right choice when abrasive wear is moderate.

- Hardness and impact values are recorded per heat and reported on the mill certificate
- Mixed sizes can be loaded in one container to suit a chamber change
- Packing options: 1 t bulk bag, 850 kg steel drum or 2 t pallet

FAQs
What is ZQCr2 used for?
A low chrome cast iron (Cr 1-3%, HRC 42-50) for dry fine grinding where the lowest cost per tonne matters more than maximum wear life.
What sizes do you cast?
20x30 mm to 60x70 mm, in the same size steps as the medium and high chrome grades, so grades can be swapped without changing the charge.
How fast does it wear?
Faster than ZQCr5 or high chrome in abrasive clinker. We recommend it for coal mills and raw mills rather than finish grinding of abrasive cement.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 20 tonnes per size for a first order; a 5 tonne trial lot is available if you need to test the media in your mill. Lead time is 20-30 days for 20-100 tonnes and 30-40 days above that, ex-works Shandong or FOB Qingdao.
Is it packed the same way as the other grades?
Yes - 1 t bulk bags or 850 kg drums, mixed sizes in one container on request.
